Multipla Natural Power
Like all the other cars in the Natural Power range, the Multipla runs on natural gas + petrol. The two fuel feed systems are mutually independent and the car normally runs on natural gas. The engine is started on petrol and immediately after that the natural gas system takes over automatically. The driver can always switch from natural gas to petrol and vice versa by pressing a button on the facia. Available in three versions - Active, Dynamic and Emotion – the Multipla is powered by a 1.6 16 valve engine with Multipoint sequential injection system. Natural gas is contained in three steel cylinders mounted under the vehicle floor, so as not to reduce the volume of the luggage compartment, whose dimensions remain the same. If you buy a Multipla Natural Power you get a contribution from the government of 1500 Euro, and if you scrap your used car you get an additional incentive of 700 Euro plus a 1-year exemption from the road tax (3 years if you scraps a EURO 0 car).
