The target of a clean engine, having a reduced impact on the environment and designed for enhanced driving pleasure, has always been within our sights. Thanks to engine Downsizing coupled with turbocharging, we can reduce the size of the engine, save fuel, and at the same time ensure the so-called Fun-to-Drive. With the Multiair® system the quantity of air entering the cylinders can be adjusted with extreme accuracy, making for improved fuel economy, greater torque and greater power. With direct injection, petrol is injected directly into the cylinders, resulting in enhanced fuel economy and performances. The result? – pollution, + fun. T-Jet For us, talking about Downsizing means talking about the new generation T-Jet engines, which are smaller and are equipped with an innovative turbocharger to ensure excellent performances plus superior fuel economy and significantly reduced emissions.
