Diesel
A breakthrough in diesel engine design occurred in the 1990s when we developed the Unijet, the electronic injection system that was the origin of the Common Rail, soon to be adopted as the standard injection system by many car makers. Since that time, we have never stopped searching for innovative, economical and environmentally-friendly solutions. Thanks to our research efforts, we now have a range of next generation engines which use the MultiJet technology, meaning that we are able to ensure improved efficiency and comfort as well as less impact on the environment. The system adopted subdivides the main injection into three, closely-spaced, stages, making for a substantial reduction in noise and harmful emissions; furthermore, the particulate filter can be regenerated without putting additives in the fuel. Our goals do not stop here, they look to the future and are called Multijet 2. Do you want to learn more about emissions? Click here.
