Making every effort to minimise the impact on the environment of our products - at every stage of their lifecycle – is the basic principle underlying our design philosophy. From the results of research activities, the development of alternative power systems and low emission solutions, and the construction of eco prototypes, comes advanced vehicle design, whose goals include improved fuel economy, end-of-life treatments having minimal impact in terms of pollutant emissions, maximum quantity of materials salvaged, optimised use of energy, minimum quantity of residual waste. Vehicle design is a complex activity, in which Fiat, with its designers, researchers and engineers, invests ever greater resources and adopts leading-edge measuring methods and tools to compare alternative technologies, materials and solutions.
