Natural gas
We realise that engines fuelled with natural gas provide the best answer to market and environmental needs in the area of alternative fuels. Natural gas, in fact, is clean, economical, environment friendly, reliable, practical and safe. In Italy using a natural gas car costs about 50% less compared to a petrol engine car and 30% less compared to a car running on diesel oil. These advantages are not obtained to the detriment of safety: according to the EPA (US Environmental Protection Agency), natural gas is a very safe fuel, second only to diesel oil. Natural gas is the cleanest fuel available at present: it produces smaller quantities of harmful emissions, and, in particular, the emissions of nitrogen oxide, the most reactive hydrocarbon, are minimised. Compared to a petrol engine car, the quantity of CO2 emitted is reduced by about 23%, with undeniable benefits on the greenhouse effect. Natural gas is transported via existing pipelines, not by tanker trucks, which means fewer vehicles on the road and therefore greater safety and reduced pollutant emissions. With natural gas you can use your car freely, regardless of anti-pollution traffic bans, and you can park it anywhere, even in underground facilities. This is what prompted the birth of the Natural Power range with dual fuel feed, a range that already includes six different models and is growing.
